In short
Account based marketing, or ABM, means choosing the companies you most want as customers and marketing to them directly, instead of to everyone. A B2B account based marketing agency builds the target list, finds the people who decide, and reaches them with ads and outreach made for them. It is slower than general lead generation, and it suits deals that are worth the effort.
01What we manage
What an ABM marketing agency should do for you
Our account based marketing services cover five things. Each one has a clear job.
Go-to-market plan and target accounts
We start with your go-to-market (GTM) plan: who you sell to, which problem you solve and where you win. From that we build a target account list, ranked by fit, so effort goes to the companies most likely to buy.
Buying committee research
In B2B, several people take part in one decision. We map who they are at each target company: the person who decides, the people who influence, the user, and the one who controls the money. We use data tools such as Clay, Lusha and Apollo to find and check their details.
LinkedIn ads to your target accounts
We upload your account list to LinkedIn and show ads only to people at those companies, matched to their job role. It is the quietest way to stay in front of a buying committee while the outreach is under way.
Email sequences and email marketing
One to one email sequences open the conversation with the right person. Email marketing then keeps useful content in front of people who are not ready yet. Both are written for the account, not sent to a list.
Sales alignment and account reporting
ABM only works when sales and marketing share the same list. We agree who owns each step, track how each account responds, and report on accounts, not only on leads: which companies engaged, which agreed to talk, and what moved into your pipeline.
02Why accounts underperform
Why ABM programs often stall
Many companies try ABM and drop it within months. When we look at one that struggled, an account based marketing company has usually fallen into one of these traps.
A target list that is too long or too vague
If the list holds thousands of companies, it is not account based marketing. It is ordinary advertising with a longer spreadsheet.
Sales and marketing using different lists
Marketing warms up one set of companies while sales calls another. Nobody feels the combined effort.
The same message for every account
People can tell when an email was written for a thousand others. A message should show that you understand their company.
Contact data that is old or wrong
Emails bounce, job titles have changed, and the sender gets a bad name with email providers.
Too many channels at once
A small team that tries LinkedIn, email, calls, events and direct mail all together does none of them well.
Counting leads instead of accounts
ABM success is a target company that engages, talks and moves forward. A pile of form fills proves very little.
03Our ABM process
How we run your program, step by step
The same careful order every time. We choose the accounts first, and write second.
Set the go-to-market plan
We agree on who you want to win and why they should choose you. We write this down in plain words, so marketing and sales work from the same page.
Build and rank the target list
We build a list of companies that look like your best customers, then rank them. A small group at the top gets personal attention. The rest are reached in groups.
Map the people
For each company we find the people who matter and check their details. We note what each one probably cares about, such as cost, risk, time or results.
Write for the account
We write messages for each group and, for the top accounts, for each company. They refer to something real: a recent change, a problem common in their industry, or a result for a similar company.
Run the channels together
LinkedIn ads, email sequences and retargeting run in the same weeks, so people at a target company meet your name in more than one place. AI tools help us research and draft. People check everything before it goes out.
Measure by account and improve
Each week we look at which accounts engaged, who replied and which meetings were booked. We share this with sales, drop what does not work and move effort to what does.
04Tools and channels
The tools and channels we use
Account based marketing is a plan first and a toolset second. These are the pieces we combine.
LinkedIn Ads
Shows your ads to people at your target companies, by job role.
Clay
Finds and combines company and contact data, and picks up signals that a company may be ready to buy.
Lusha and Apollo
Contact details and lists of people, and a way to run email sequences at a steady, safe pace.
Email sequences
Short, personal emails that open a conversation with the right person.
Email marketing
Useful content for people who are interested but not ready to talk.
GTM plan
The go-to-market plan that decides who we target and what we say to them.
05Levels of ABM
Three levels of ABM, matched to deal size
Not every target account deserves the same effort. We sort them into levels, and spend our time where the deals are biggest.
One to one
For your most valuable accounts, a small number of companies. Each gets its own research, its own message and its own plan. It takes the most time, so we keep it for deals that justify it.
One to few
For groups of similar companies, such as the same industry with the same problem. We write one plan for the group and adjust it for each company.
One to many
For a wider list of companies that share a profile. The targeting is still account based, but the messages are shared, and tools do most of the work.
06Is ABM right for you?
When ABM fits, and when it does not
ABM is not for everyone. We would rather tell you early than sell you a plan that does not suit your business.
ABM is a good fit when
- you can name the kinds of companies you want to win;
- one deal is worth enough to justify personal effort;
- several people take part in the buying decision;
- you have a sales team ready to follow up.
General lead generation fits better when
- you sell low-priced products to many buyers;
- you cannot yet describe your ideal customer;
- buyers decide alone and quickly;
- you want a high volume of enquiries fast.
07Pricing
How pricing works
ABM has up to three costs, and each one is separate: our fee, the data and tools, and the ad spend.
Ad spend is what LinkedIn or another platform charges your ad account. It is paid straight to the platform.
Our fee covers the strategy, target list, research, writing, setup and reporting. It is set in writing before we start and depends on how many accounts we work and at which level.
Data and tools, such as contact data subscriptions and email sending tools, usually run on subscriptions or credits. We tell you what is needed, and where possible the accounts sit in your name, with no hidden margin.
08Choosing an agency
Seven questions to ask any ABM agency, including us
Whether you pick us or one of the other account based marketing providers, these questions show quickly who you are dealing with. Here are our answers.
- Who builds the target list?
- We do, using your ideal customer and your sales team's view. You approve it before we start.
- Where does the contact data come from?
- From established data tools such as Clay, Lusha and Apollo, and we check it before use. We tell you which sources we use.
- How do you handle email rules and deliverability?
- We follow the data and email rules that apply in your market, including opt-outs, and we protect your sending reputation by starting small.
- How will sales and marketing work together?
- We agree on the list and on who does what, then share account results with your sales team every week.
- How do you measure success?
- By accounts: how many engaged, how many agreed to talk and what became pipeline. Not by form fills alone.
- How long until we see meetings?
- Often within the first weeks, although pipeline takes longer. We tell you what is realistic for your deal size.
- Do you guarantee meetings or deals?
- No. Be careful with anyone who does. We promise focused work, honest reports and clear next steps.

09Questions
Account based marketing
questions, answered
Short, honest answers to what people ask us most.
What is account based marketing?
Account based marketing, or ABM, means choosing the companies you most want as customers and marketing to them directly, instead of to everyone. You pick the target accounts, find the decision makers inside them, and reach them with ads and outreach made for those companies.
What does an account based marketing agency do?
An ABM agency builds the target account list, finds the people who decide, writes the messages and runs the channels, such as LinkedIn ads and email. At Nesfity Media, we also report by account and work with your sales team on every follow up.
What is the difference between ABM and lead generation?
Lead generation casts a wide net and collects enquiries. ABM works backwards: you choose the companies first, then earn their attention. Lead generation brings more volume. ABM brings fewer, more focused conversations, so it suits larger deals.
Is ABM only for large companies?
No. It suits any B2B company with a clear list of target accounts and deals big enough to justify personal effort. Many mid-sized and fast-growing companies use it. What matters is deal value and a sales team ready to follow up.
Which tools do account based marketing providers use?
Tools vary. We use LinkedIn Ads to reach people at target companies, Clay to combine and enrich data, Lusha and Apollo for contact details and email sequences, and email marketing for nurturing. The tools help, but the plan matters more than the tools.
What is a go-to-market (GTM) plan in ABM?
A GTM plan states who you sell to, what problem you solve, why you win and how you will reach buyers. In ABM it decides which accounts we target and what we say to them. Without it, outreach becomes guesswork.
How long does ABM take to work?
First conversations can start within weeks, but pipeline and deals take longer, because B2B buyers decide slowly and in groups. Most programs need a few months to show clear results. We tell you what is realistic for your deal size.
How much do account based marketing services cost?
There are up to three costs: our fee, which is agreed in writing; data and tool costs, such as contact data subscriptions; and ad spend, paid directly to LinkedIn or Google. We list all three before we start.
What is the difference between ABM consultants and an agency?
Account based marketing consultants usually advise: they design a plan and leave you to run it. An agency also does the work, such as research, ads, outreach and reporting. We can plan and run, or help your team run the plan.
Is LinkedIn the only channel for ABM?
No, but it is often the strongest, because you can show ads to specific companies and job roles. We combine it with email sequences, email marketing and retargeting, and sometimes search ads. The mix depends on your buyers.
How do you measure ABM results?
We measure by account, not only by lead. We track which target companies engaged, which people replied, which meetings were booked and what became pipeline. We report this to you and your sales team in plain words each week.
Do you guarantee meetings or deals?
No. Buying decisions depend on many things outside our control. We promise a clear plan, careful work and honest reporting, so you always know where each target account stands.
